Amanda Laura Bynes was born and raised in Thousand Oaks, California. She is an American actress. She has also starred in several films, including What a Girl Wants, She's the Man, Hairspray, Sydney White, and Easy A. In 2012, Bynes said that she is retiring from acting. In 1993, Bynes attended a comedy camp, and began professionally acting at the age of seven, appearing in a television advertisement for Buncha Crunch candies. In December 2013, Bynes enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles for 2014.
