John Elias Baldacci was born in Bangor, Maine, USA. He is an American Democratic politician who served as the 73rd Governor of Maine from 2003-2011. He served as a member of the United States House of Representatives from Maine's 2nd district from 1995-2003. He also served as a member of the Maine State Senate from 1982-1994. He earned a BA degree in History from the University of Maine at Orono in 1986.
