Jo Ann Davis was born in Rowan, North Carolina, USA. She was an American Republican politician. She was a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Virginia's 1st congressional district from 2001-2007. She was the first Republican woman elected to Congress from Virginia. She studied at Hampton Roads Business College and worked in real estate before she was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in 1997. She married to Chuck Davis in 1974. The couple had two sons.
