Jeremy Larner is an American poet, journalist and screenwriter. He graduated from Brandeis University in 1958. After 1964, he worked as a freelance journalist and published articles, essays and stories in many magazines, including Harpers, The Paris Review, and Life. He has written several books include: Drive, He Said (novel, Won- Delta Prize in 1964) and Chicken on Church (poem). He has written several films include: Drive, He Said and The Candidate (Won- Academy Award in 1972 for Best Original Screenplay).
