Jennifer Donnelly was born in Port Chester, New York, USA. She is an American novelist. She earned a BA degree in English Literature and European History from the University of Rochester. She also studied at Birkbeck College, University of London, England. She has written several novels include: The Tea Rose, A Northern Light (Won- Carnegie Medal in 2003), The Winter Rose, Revolution, Wild Rose, Deep Blue, Rogue Wave, Dark Tide, These Shallow Graves, Sea Spell, and Beauty and the Beast: Lost in a Book.
