Arthur Annesley Ronald Firbank was a British author, best known for his eight short novels. Inspired by the London aesthetes of the 1890s, especially Oscar Wilde, Firbank's work is comprised largely of dialogue, featuring oblique references to religion, social-climbing, and sexuality.
