You’ve got to either say you’re going to cut taxes and find some spending cuts. I think we ought to reform long-term entitlement spending in the country, but you can’t out of one side of your mouth say, ‘Yes, we’re for tax cuts, we’re for spending discipline, and we’re for bringing down the debt.

Harold Eugene Ford Jr. was born in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He is an American politician who served five terms in the United States House of Representatives as a member of the Democratic Party from Tennessee's 9th congressional district from 1997 to 2007. Since 2011, Ford has worked for Morgan Stanley as a Managing Director. He earned a B.A. degree in American history from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992.
