In New York City, she co-founded the Theosophical Society with Olcott and William Quan Judge in 1875. She wrote several books include: Isis Unveiled, From the Caves and Jungles of Hindostan, The Secret Doctrine, The Voice of the Silence, The Key to Theosophy, Gems from the East, and Nightmare tales.
