Garrett Graff was born in Montpelier, Vermont, United States. He is a former editor of Politico Magazine. He was editor-in-chief for Washingtonian magazine in Washington, D.C. and an instructor at Georgetown University in the Masters in Professional Studies Journalism and Public Relations program. He is the author of The First Campaign, and his second book,The Threat Matrix: The FBI at War in the Age of Global Terror was released in March 2011. Attending Harvard University, he was the executive editor at the Harvard Crimson.
