Jonah Richard Lehrer was born in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is an American author. He earned a BS degree in Neuroscience from Columbia University in 2003. He was a Rhodes Scholar. He also studied at Wolfson College at Oxford University. Thereafter, he built a media career that integrated science and humanities content to address broad aspects of human behaviour.
