James Thomas "Jim" Walsh was born in Syracuse, New York, USA. He is an American Republican politician. He retired from the United States House of Representatives from New York in 2009 after serving for twenty years. While in Congress, he was a member of the United States House Committee on Appropriations for 16 years, also chairing several of its subcommittees. He earned a BA degree in history from St. Bonaventure University.
