Alexander Franklin "Frank" James was born in Kearney, Missouri, USA. He was a Confederate soldier, guerrilla, and outlaw. He was the older brother of outlaw Jesse James and was also part of the James–Younger Gang. He was captured when Lexington, Missouri was besieged in 1861 by Union troops and was forced to swear allegiance to them.
