Carol Lynch Williams was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. She grew up in Florida. She is a PEN Award–winning novelist. She earned an MFA degree in writing for children and young adults from Vermont College in 2008. She lives in Utah with her family. She has authored more than twenty-five books for children and young adults. Her titles include, The Chosen One, Glimpse, Miles from Ordinary, Waiting, Signed, Sky Harper, The Haven, and the Just in Time series.
