Candice Hern was born in Texas but grew up in California. She is an American novelist. She has degrees in Art History from the University of California and spent many years in high tech marketing, specifically database marketing. Her first novel A Proper Companion was published by Jove in 1995. She then wrote for the Signet Regency Romance imprint before expanding into the Historical Romance genre, although her books are usually set in the Regency era. She lives in the San Francisco Bay area.
