Joaquin Andujar was born in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic. He was a Dominican professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball for the Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals and Oakland Athletics from 1976 through 1988. She was a four-time MLB All-Star and a Gold Glove Award winner. After retiring from baseball, he started a trucking business in the Dominican Republic. In 2012, he gained induction into the Caribbean Baseball Hall of Fame.
