John Tyler was born in Charles City County, Virginia, USA. He was the 10th President of the United States, serving from 1841 to 1845. He served as the 10th Vice President of the United States from March 4, 1841-April 4, 1841. He served as the United States Senator from Virginia (1827-1836) and 23rd Governor of Virginia from 1825-1827. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Virginia's 23rd congressional district from 1816-1821. He studied at College of William & Mary, Williamsburg, Virginia. After graduation Tyler read the law with his father, a state judge at the time. He was erroneously admitted to the Virginia bar at the premature age of 19 and started a practice in Richmond, the state capital.
