Malcolm Henry Arnold was an outstanding composer of deeply serious music of all kinds. Nine symphonies, more ballets commissioned by the Royal Ballet than any other composer, many concertos,usually written for close friends, over 100 film scores, and a huge quantity of brilliant chamber music.
