Ernest Christopher Dowson was born in Lee, London, UK. He was an English poet, novelist, and short-story writer. He published two novels in collaboration with Arthur Moore, A Comedy of Masks and Adrian Rome, and a book of short stories, Dilemmas, stories and studies in sentiment but his reputation rests on his poetry: Verses, the verse play The Pierrot of the Minute, and Decorations in Verse and Prose.
