Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio was born in Nice, France. He is a French novelist and professor. He received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2008. He earned a BA degree from Nice's Institut d'études littéraires. He earned an MA degree from the University of Provence. He received his PhD from the University of Perpignan in 1983.
